Just 50 km away from Stone Town, the capital of Zanzibar Island, lies the Blue Oyster Hotel close to the village of Jambiani on the east coast. To get there from Stone Town you can travel by minibus or call the hotel to arrange transport from the airport or harbour.

For a very special adventure you can swim among the dolphins at Kizimkazi.

Worth a day trip visit is the Jozani Forest Research Centre (18 km from the hotel). It is located in a rain forest, home to the only colony of Red Colobus monkeys in the world.
 
Or you can visit Stone Town, the historical capital of Zanzibar with its world famous spice market. Stone Town is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Walking tours can be arranged.
