Situated in Northcliff, north–west of Johannesburg, this beautiful thatched Inn makes for the ideal stop over before starting or at the end of your South Africa holiday. With close proximity to shops, restaurants, banks, cinemas, highways, public transport, and of course the delightful Emmarentia Dam, this Johannesburg Inn has an idyllic setting. Situated in the quiet South African coastal village of Umdloti, only 20 minutes drive north from Durban, this Inn is built literally on the beach, verlooking the crashing waves of the Indian Ocean and clean white sand, an ideal getaway for those who wish to enjoy the unspoiled beaches and game reserves of the KwaZulu-Natal north coast without being in the hustle and bustle of large tourist centers. Drifters Drakensberg  Inn

A National Heritage Site, this 1000-hectare farm has to be seen to be appreciated. Accessible only by 4x4 vehicle or transfer arranged beforehand, this mountain lodge is at an elevation of 1800 meters above sea level and lies in the shadow of the greater Drakensberg peak on the property – the ideal mountain getaway, lush green in summer and often snow covered in winter. The Drakensberg area of South Africa lies not only in a national park, but is also a Unesco world heritage site. The cliffs above are home to a colony of Cape Vultures, the foothills home to Eland and many other african wildlife and bird species as well as lush indigenous forests with hidden caves and Bushmen paintings. Dramatic waterfalls, deep valleys, and high peaks provide the ideal terrain for a hiking safari, climbing expedition, exploring, mountain biking, horse riding, or simply taking in the views. A large, stocked dam makes for refreshing swimming or may keep those fly-fishermen occupied. Guided horse trails are available on request. Accommodation is in Canadian styled log cabins, each en-suite, twin-room with its own fireplace. Situated 30 km from Graaff-Reinet, not far from the Valley of Desolation in the dry South African semi-desert Karoo, this remote Lodge provides wonderful opportunities to explore the unique fauna and flora that this area has to offer. This property has been painstakingly rehabilitated and now offers one of the most interesting and diverse nature reserves in the region. Game on the property includes the rare Cape Mountain Zebra, Black Wildebeest and beautiful Bontebok. Accommodation is in comfortable chalets crafted from local stone, each with its own fireplace, bathroom and unbelievable desert vista. A communal living area has been created within the original farmhouse, which dates back to the early settlers of Southern Africa. Game drive safaris on the property are available on request.

Drifters Knysna  Inn

This homely Inn is located in Quigney, one of the oldest suburbs of East London and still boasting colonial homes constructed of wood and corrugated iron. The Inn is very well situated and is within walking distance of East London’s two main swimming beaches, a variety of good restaurants, and the popular Esplanade. A sunny, open breakfast room, lounge, and cozy pub all offer sea views where one may gaze at the passing ships and even see dolphins and whales frolicking. All eight well appointed double rooms are en-suite. The inn also offers a refreshing swimming pool and sun deck. From the Inn clients are able to walk into city or visit the museum.
