December 2005
Dear Beate, well scouted, SafariScout! The South Africa trip you helped us put together was brilliant. A real home away from home was Eds Inkosana Lodge in the Drakensberg: The service was tops, we really liked the Zulu style rondawels and the BBQ dinners. Highlights of the trip were Pilanesberg and Tsitsikamma National Parks. And we have become real Cape Town fans!
Susann and Claus/Germany have booked a selfdrive South Africa Tour with budget accommodation
November 2006 Dear Beate, the five week trip through South Africa was my first holiday in years and i will keep remembering the great time i had. I wouldn't have thought that it is that easy to get around this beautiful country by yourself. The travel itinerary fitted my time schedule very well. Thanks especially for your insider tips re. accommodation. My favourite: Inkosana Lodge in the Drakensberg.
Hendrik/Germany has travelled South Africa with a rental car booked through SafariScout.com. Many of this photos can be seen on this website. Thanks!

June 2007 The trip to South Africa was good - the safari was fine, the park was lovely, although wrong season, so not many animals. Our group was delightful and small which was appreciated. Thanks.
Carol/USA has booked a 4 day Kruger National Park Safari.
Juli 2007 Dear Mrs. Gernhuber, the trip to South Africa was very nice and we enjoyed it a lot. The whether was nice, the landscape beautiful, the people very friendly. In particular as far as the services are concerned I have the following remarks: The transport and the driver/guide were excellent. In particular our guide was kind, capable and helpful. We liked him a lot and we recommend him for other tourists. The hotels were good even though in some case I would have expected more. The accommodation in the two national parks was excellent.
For Paolo/Italy SafariScout.com organised a 13 day tailormade South Africa roundtrip from Cape Town with luxury accommodation.
December 2007 Beate, Just a quick note to say the tour was fantastic...can't fault it. Thanks for all your help.

January 2008 Wishing you a Happy New Year, first of all! I finally completed the Field Guide Training Course successfully, but it was a piece of hard work. Can't remember when i last had to study so much. Everything went well and now i am a little bit proud of myself.
Ingbert/Germany has booked a 28 day Field Guide Training Course in South Africa with SafariScout.com.
February 2008 Dear Ms Gernhuber, a few days ago i returned from my phantastic Africa safari. We were only five people and slept with frist two nights in rooms and once in a permanent tent - and didn't have to do budget camping :-)) The other nights we were provided with brand-new tents and very comfy mattrasses. The meals were superb and the mountain gorillas an unforgettable experience. Thanks a lot for everything. Until the next time...
Maurice/Germany has booked a camping safari to the mountain gorillas of Uganda.
April 2008 Dear Ms Gernhuber, just a note to say that we had a great holiday in South Africa. One of the highlights was certainly our stay at the Kosi Forest Lodge. We enjoyed the friendly and professional service of management and staff, the tastfully designed accommodation and of course the outdoor showers and bathtubs! We could have easily stayed a few days longer.
Manuela and Heike/Germany have booked their stay at Kosi Forest Lodge through SafariScout.com.
April 2008 You asked me to send a picture of me on the summit after my journey, well, here it is! Unfortunately I didn't make it all the way to the top but what the hell. I got all the adventure I have asked for. :) Still it was worth all the money. I got an experience that is very rare and now I only remember the magnificent views of the Mount Kilimanjaro and nice people of Tanzania, Kenya too. Say hello to my guide Amani, I lost his contact details when I got soaked at Victoria Falls.
P.S. I met some people who visited Mt. Kilimanjaro during the 80's. The trip cost 100 USD at that time ;-) I will visit Mount Kilimanjaro again, it is worth it, and the Serengeti too. Those places are gifts from God to us.

Tuomas/Finnland planned his personal Mount Kilimanjaro adventure through SafariScout.com.
May 2008 Dear Ms Gernhuber, everything was organised perfectly and we liked our tour very much. I am thinking, whether we should plan to travel to Tanzania later this year. If you have any ideas for us, please, go ahead.
Andreas/Germany has booked a tailormade Ethiopia tour via SafariScout.com

March 2009 Dear Ms Gernhuber, the journey was wonderful, perfectly organised and we could have travelled on for ever! We were - and actually still are - completely taken by the encounters and impressions, that Africa provided us with. It couldn't have been better! That's why we have decided to declare this trip as our honeymoon, that - so far - we have never had. Our son too was very impressed by the wildlife and the ocean - and we had the most well-behaved kid on earth! Surely, this was not the last time that we will spend our holiday in Africa.
Birgit and Ronald/Luxemburg have booked a tailormade South Africa safari with accommodation in luxury lodges.
June 2009 Dirk/Germany went on a South Africa safari with a tour of Kruger National Park, Botswana and Zambia. Photos of his Africa safari are to be found on his Facebook site. Kerstin/Germany went on a 7 day safari from Victoria Falls to South Africa.
May 2010 Dear Beate, only two weeks back home in Germany and i would just love to travel to South Africa again! I met many intersting people through my township project and now can understand why you have spent so much time on this wonderful continent. Here are three photos from my travels: South Africa, Tanzania and Botswana.

Ulli/Germany has booked a 29 day camping safari from Johannesburg to Nairobi and also worked with the Kliptown Youth Program in Soweto, Johannesburg.
May 2010 Dear Ms Gernhuber, many thanks for your support in planning my South Africa holiday. It was great! The game walks were a real eye opener to the many small things in nature. But we also saw a lot of big game. Plains Camp is a dream - perfect! Next time we will skip Rhino Post Safari Lodge and spend more time at Plains Camp, though the lodge is also beautifully designed.

Klaus/Germany booked a wildlife walking safari at Kruger National Park of South Africa and has sent us some photos of his trip.
May 2010 Hello Ms Gernhuber, the safari was great, we had a knowledgable guide and the accommodation was comfy. Thanks for your help and i will recommend you to other Africa interested people.
Ann-Catherine/Germany has booked the 3 day Sossusvlei Express safari through Namibia.
May 2010 Hello Ms Gernhuber! many thanks for the short notice organisation of our tour! That was a masterpiece - professionally organised! We had a memorable trip and enjoyed it very much. Way to go!
Andreas/Germnay went on a 8 day Botswana safari.
June 2010 Hello Beate, what a great trip to the Soccer World Cup it was! But we had underestimated the winter temperatures in South Africa a little bit. I was amazed at how many match tickets were still available at the airport - via credit card you could easily buy them from a machine. We had our tickets within seconds. The lodge in Johannesburg was nearly empty. I presume, that some of the accommodation owners charged way too much for the rooms and with that chased a lot of people away. Our transfer to Rustenburg to see the match was well organised. Jinnie knew all the ins and outs and we easily found her after the match for the transfer back.
In Mozambique we unfortunately had a problem with the pick up from the airport. The lodges Landrover was broken, so we hitched a lift with some very friendly South Africans. In the evening the lodge manager appologized for the mishap...with an absolutely delicious fish platter. Though we could only stay for 2 days - we could relax after all the soccer excitement.

Stefan/Germany travelled to the Soccer World Cup in South Africa, went on a Kruger Park Safari and spend a few days on the beaches of Mozambique.
September 2010 Dear Ms Gernhuber, our safari was exciting, enjoyable and we saw all of the Big 5 in one day! We liked the camp and its service. The lodge in Johannesburg was also very comfortable and the day tours to Soweto, Pretoria and the Cullinan Diamond Mine very impressive and interesting. Thanks for your perfect tour planning. We could enjoy our holiday without any worries. Should we want to travel to Africa again (very, very likely!) we will definitely contact you. But now: Back to the real world :-(
Anna/Germany has booked a South Africa Wildlife Safari with Treehouse accommodation.
September 2010 Hello Beate, i had a great weekend on the 3 day wildlife safari to Kruger Park. Nice accommodation, super service, tasty meals and i have also met some very nice people on tour. On the game drives we saw the Big 5 and lots of other animal species. I am really happy, that i have decided on this tour. Thanks for helping me with this!
Britt/Germany went to Greater Kruger National Park of South Africa on a camping safari.
October 2010 Dear Ms Gernhuber, back home now for nearly two weeks now, we are still under South Africa's spell. Staying at the lodge in Kruger National Park was tops! Our chalet was surrounded by quietness and we enjoyed watching the birds sitting on our private veranda. The staff was very friendly and the meals very tasty and more than filling. The whole atmosphere of the lodge was very welcoming and easy going and we have met lots of nice people there. And...we watched the Big 5. Unforgettable! Thanks a lot for your your help - i can only recommend you and your company. By the way: Our hockey tournament was a big success and Germany won bronze!
Peter/Germany took part in the Hockey World Cup of the over 60 year olds, taht was held in Cape Town and then spend some days game viewing on a lodge safari at South Africa's Kruger National Park. He mailed us photos of both events. More info about the veteran's hockey is available on the website of the WGMA (World Grand Masters Association).
November 2010 Dear Beate, minus temperatures and snow met us on our arrival back in Switzerland after a great trip to Africa. A very big thank you for all your help in organising our dive safari. The highlight for me was diving with sharks in Rocky Bay, South Africa, with Mark Adisson. Unfortunately we didn't see any tiger sharks, but scuba diving with 40 blacktip sharks, duskies and spinner sharks was so impressive that i nearly felt like being one of them...We will recommend your services and Africa knowledge.
Eliane & Jürg/Switzerland are mad about scuba diving and planned their South Africa and Mozambique tailormade dive safari with the help of SafariScout.com
November 2010 Hello Beate, i actually wanted to write a postcard from Uganda - but couldn't find one. Now, here is your virtual postcard :-) The gorilla trekking was one of the most impressive venture in my life so far. Absolutely impressive that you can watch these animals from such a short distance. But the trekking to actually find the gorillas was pretty much hell - well at least for somebody that smokes for over 20 years now. I was also absolutely fascinated to meet lots of local people who were friendly and curious about our way of life and also very appreciative about the little they have. To cut it short: I am very satisfied customer and am looking forward to new travel offers. I will be a regular guest on the SafariScout.com website.
Javier/Germany went to encounter the mountain gorillas in Uganda.
November 2010 Jambo or Hello! We are back in cold old Germany! We made it to the top of Kilimanjaro, saw the Serengeti and enjoyed being lazy on Zanzibar Island. Thanks again for a well organised trip and the travel advice.
Lars/Germany organised his Tanzania safari and Mount Kilimanjaro Trek through SafariScout.com
November 2010 Hello Ms Gernhuber, after a great holiday i wanted to say "Thanks". It was wonderful. The rental car was in a very good condition and we drove 8500 km through South Africa, Botswana and Namibia without a single problem - except one flat tyre. I can only recommend these campers...and also you as a reliable travel agent. Regards from Augsburg.
René/Germany booked a camper for his self drive safari through Southern Africa - see photo.
December 2010 Hi Ms Gernhuber, everything went smoothly. We liked the tour very much and also the lodge accommodation. Service, meals...everything was super. Also the animals and the wheather were in our favour - and we really managed to see the Big 5!
Diana & Rene/Germany went on a Kruger Park Lodge Safari and mailed us "evidence" of their Big 5 encounters.
January 2011 I am back from Uganda and can only say: What an extraordinary Africa safari this was! The gorilla trekking was very impressive. The group was surprisingly small only 3 guests and 2 guiden in an open safari vehicle. We enjoyed the quiet, nature and animals, met other tourists only rarely but therefore many friendly locals who were not used to tourists. I can only recommend this trip.
Martin/Germany has booked the 12 day Uganda Camping Safari including gorilla trekking and shares some of his impressive wildlife photos on the SafariScout.com website soon.
March 2011 Dear Ms Gernhuber! I enjoyed my short safari very much. Our guide Elago was great! He told us lots of interesting facts about the desert and furthermore was a brilliant cook and driver. Very pleasant was our small group of 4 people. Thanks for your help in booking this tour! I will save your website under "favourites".
Martha/Germany went on the 3 day Namibia Sossusvlei Express Lodge Safari. |
