Africa Safaris & Holidays

Showing the wild side of Africa is one of the passions of the german wildlife photographer Tim Schroeter from Hannover.  He allowed SafariScout.com to use some of his pictures taken in Southern Africa to illustrate the safari itineraries. 
 
It's a small world, as we all know, and naturally "Wildshot" Tim Schroeter met "SafariScout" Beate Gernhuber in Africa a few years ago. At Inkosana Lodge in the Central Drakensberg Region of South Africa Tim recovered from malaria and a several months long photo safari. Beate had stopped her traveling in Africa for a bit to help owner Ed Salomons  to run Inkosana Lodge. Now, Tim is back home in Germany and is planning to write down is travel stories. His collection of adventure and traveling tales are due to be published very soon. The title: "Hunting bears in sandals". 

His travel adventures took him around the world, to Canada, Costa Rica, Portugal, Tunesia and South Africa, where he's worked as a tour guide for nature and photo safaris. It's when he started to document his impressions and encounters on 24 x 36 mm film. 

Since he was a kid he was fascinated by the vast landscapes of the American Northwest. When ever possible he tries to spend time there. After basing himself in Oregon he starts months long trips from there - into the wilderness of British Columbia, the Yukon and Alaska. Where the road ends, Tim starts paddling his canoe or takes off in his sandals.
